The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup is the biggest there has ever been, with the tournament inflated from the 24 teams that competed last time out in France in 2019 to the 32 nations now heading to Australia and New Zealand this summer.

Each squad will feature 23 players, which has to include three goalkeepers. That means a whopping 736 players in total, plus 32 head coaches and whole lot of other support staff.

Each country at least has to initially submit a private preliminary squad of players to FIFA, with the deadline for the final squads falling on 9 July 2023, 11 days before the opening game. Teams will still be permitted to make changes in the event of serious injury until 24 hours before their first match.
