Everton welcome Brentford to Goodison Park as they look to continue their march towards survival in the Premier League.

The Toffees were held to a goalless draw at relegated Watford in midweek, although Leeds' defeat to Chelsea means Frank Lampard's side sit two points clear of safety with a game in hand.

Brentford, meanwhile, will be keen to make amends after their last visit to Goodison Park this season ended in a 4-1 thrashing in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Everton team news

Donny van de Beek is unlikely to be involved for the Toffees, although the Dutchman is hopeful of returning for the visit of Crystal Palace in midweek.

Ben Godfrey is in a similar situation with his thigh injury, while Fabian Delph is likely to be replaced by Allan in midfield after the former Man City man was forced off with injury in the goalless draw at Vicarage Road in midweek.

Brentford team news

Thomas Frank is hopeful both Ethan Pinnock and Sergi Canos will be fit enough for the trip to Merseyside after the pair missed the 3-0 win over Southampton last time out.

However, Mathias Jorgensen has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign, while Frank Onyenka is also unlikely to be involved until next season for the Bees.

Everton vs Brentford score prediction

Everton could have the chance to move five points clear of Burnley in 17th place by the time of kick-off on Sunday with the Clarets set to visit Tottenham earlier in the day.

That is likely to play on the minds of Lampard's players who were able to leverage the emotions of the Goodison Park crowd in their recent 1-0 victory over Chelsea on Merseyside.

Brentford would be forgiven for taking their eye off the ball as they look forward to a second successive season in the English top flight, which could play into Everton's hands.

Prediction: Everton 2-0 Brentford
