Erik ten Hag has warned Marcus Rashford against 'laziness' following his exceptional run of form for Manchester United.

The England striker has scored 21 goals during the 2022/23 campaign thus far, with 10 of those goals coming since the turn of the year alone.

Rashford was once again on the scoresheet on Sunday, bagging the opener in Man Utd's eventual 2-0 win over long-time rivals Leeds United.

Speaking after the game to the press, manager Ten Hag was quick to call on Rashford to retain his focus after yet another goalscoring performance.

"I don't know when it will stop but if you are satisfied with it, then it will," the boss warned.

"And because satisfaction goes to laziness, you have to keep investing every day. When he keeps the investment and keeps the focus in every game and brings the energy and belief in, he will keep scoring.

"He has the skills to score with right, with left and with his head. It's about him getting into position."

When discussing Rashford's goal, Ten Hag added: "I told him at the start of the season: 'every game you will be in a position to score, and you have the capabilities to score so it's about keeping that focus over 90-95 minutes'.

"If he does that you can see that he can score with left [foot], right [foot], and with his head."
