England begin their Euro 2020 preparations with a warm-up fixture against Austria to be played in Middlesbrough this Wednesday.
The Three Lions will be hoping to build on their success in the 2018 World Cup in which they made it all the way through to the semi-finals, where they were eventually eliminated by Croatia.
The championships are just around the corner and Gareth Southgate doesn't have much time to get his squad up to speed ahead of their tournament opener on June 13.
Here is our preview of England vs Austria.

England team news
By the time this fixture comes around, Southgate will have trimmed his squad down from 33 to 26 and so he'll be selecting from the group he plans to take into the championships. While he's expected to be in the squad, Manchester United captain Harry Maguire is unlikely to be fit for the visit of Austria. Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips is also a doubt having suffered a shoulder injury on the final day of the Premier League season.
Austria team news
Franco Foda has revealed that former West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic will miss out through injury. Austria may also be without Karim Onisiwo after he pulled out of a training session this weekend with a knee issue. Captain Julian Baumgartlinger has returned to training and is in contention to feature.

England vs Austria prediction
England fans will be watching closely in a bid to try and gain an understanding of Southgate's plans going into the tournament but given there is still another warm-up fixture and numerous training sessions to come, his starting lineup could still change by the time the competition kicks off.
Looking at the two squads, it's difficult to see anything other than a comfortable England victory. It's a talented group of players but in years gone by, Southgate's predecessors have struggled to strike the right balance and England have ultimately fallen short.
The gulf in class between these two squads is significant and while the focus should be on trying things out and building cohesion ahead of the tournament rather than the result - England should have too much firepower for Franco Foda's side.
Prediction: England 4-0 Austria
