Eden Hazard has confirmed his retirement from international football following Belgium's early elimination from the 2022 World Cup.

Roberto Martinez announced that he would be stepping down from his role as manager, and now stalwart forward Hazard has confirmed his retirement from international duty.

"A page turns today," Hazard said in a statement on Instagram. "Thank you for your love. Thank you for your unmatched support. Thanks for all the happiness shared since 2008.
