Female players will be included in EA Sports FC 24's Ultimate Team for the first time in what could prove to be a watershed moment in the representation of women's football.
While women's teams and players have been available since FIFA 16 (the franchise now known as EA Sports FC moving forward), albeit in a limited capacity, they have never been playable in one of the game's most popular modes - Ultimate Team.
That will all change this year as the representation of women's football in gaming continues to grow - Football Manager have also announced the planned introduction of women's football in FM25 from next season - and some of the world's best will be playable in the same squads as male players.
With that in mind, let's look at the Women's Super League's highest rated players in EA Sports FC 24.
10. Rachel Daly - 85
Despite there being a number of players also given 85-rated cards, Rachel Daly has been ranked by EA Sports FC as the tenth best WSL player - perhaps due to the cumulative total of her base stats.
Daly scored 22 goals in as many games for Aston Villa in the WSL last season and finished as the division's top scorer, something reflected in her 85 shooting.
While being listed as a striker given that is where she plays her football for Villa, it will be interesting to see if left-back is one of her alternate positions having played there frequently for England.
9. Ashley Lawrence - 86
Ashley Lawrence arrives at Chelsea as the highest rated defender in the WSL. Having made the move from Paris Saint-Germain in June, the full-back could be in an incredibly useful asset for Ultimate Team players.
86 pace, 82 defence and 78 physical makes her a well-rounded player on the right-hand side of defence, offering good links to her new Chelsea teammates too.
8. Kim Little - 86
The highest rated Scot and central midfielder in Englsh football, Little has been given an 86 overall rating. The Arsenal skipper struggled with injury last season, only featuring 11 times in the WSL for the Gunners, however her performances were top notch when she was available.
The 33-year-old provided four goals and two assists in the WSL and has just committed her future to Arsenal after signing a new deal in April.
Little's 86 dribbling and 83 passing can make her a chief creator in EAFC 24.
7. Vivianne Miedema - 86
If it wasn't for a nasty ACL injury back in December 2022, Miedema's rating could be even higher. The Dutch attacker missed the second half of last season, as well as the World Cup over the summer, but is hoping to be fit early in the new WSL campaign.
While Miedema's 82 pace doesn't make her an immediate OP pick in EAFC 24, her 85 shooting, 86 dribbling and 81 physical will still make her a difficult player to defend against.
6. Jill Roord - 86
Having just arrived at Manchester City from Wolfsburg this summer, Roord boasts a great card on her return to the WSL.
The Dutch central attacking midfielder and former Arsenal player has 84 shooting, 84 passing and 85 dribbling making her a perfect player in and around the penalty area.
A Manchester City pairing of Roord and Kevin De Bruyne could be borderline unplayable.
5. Lauren Hemp - 86
The only other Manchester City player in the top ten, Hemp's seven goals and six assists in the WSL made her one of the division's most creative outlets last year. Boosted by a superb World Cup performance with England, the left-winger now boasts a menacing Ultimate Team card.
Her 90 pace and 87 dribbling is sure to break some controllers and she will be difficult to stop in full flight.
4. Mary Earps - 86
Having just edged out Arsenal's 85-rated Manuela Zinsberger, Earps is officially the highest rated goalkeeper in the WSL. The England stopper could have been joining Zinsberger in north Lodnon next season, but Manchester United turned down a world record bid for the 30-year-old.
Now set to stay until at least January, United fans will be glad they get to use her 86-rated EAFC card with the Red Devils crest on it for a few months as a minimum.
Earps has 83 or more for every stat bar speed (which is always low for goalkeepers), making her a perfect all-rounder in between the sticks.
3. Beth Mead - 87
Would England have won the World Cup with Beth Mead in the squad? Unfortunately, we'll never know as the dreaded ACL curse curtailed the winger's season, extingushing any hopes of world domination in the process.
Despite that lengthy injury, Mead still has an unbelievable Ultimate Team card. 87 overall with 84 shooting, 84 passing and 87 dribbling makes her a great asset, especially if you whack a hunter chemistry style card on her to boost her 81 pace.
2. Guro Reiten - 88
Guro Reiten's nine goals and 11 assists in the league last season helped push Chelsea to a third successive WSL title and the left winger has been rewarded with a monster card in EAFC 24.
88 pace, 86 dribbling, 86 passing and 80 shooting will undoubtedly make her one of the best wide players in the game and helps her rank as the highest rated winger in the WSL too.
1. Sam Kerr - 90
Who else? Obviously, it was bound to be Sam Kerr.
The Chelsea striker, who was named the Football Writers' Association Women's Footballer of the Year for the 2022/23 season, put in another top season for the Blues, despite not being able to hold on to her WSL Golden Boot for a third straight year.
The Matildas striker has a 90-rated card with a staggering 85 pace, 88 shooting, 90 dribbling and 85 physical, all of which will make her an absolute beast in Ultimate Team.
