Alongside the Premier League, La Liga has always been one of the most popular leagues on FIFA -now EA Sports FC - boasting some of the game's highest rated superstars.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have battled for supremacy in the past, especially in the Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi era, with fans on tenterhooks each year to see which of the behemoths would have the highest overall rating.

While no players in La Liga are tied with Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Kylian Mbappe (all 91) as the highest ranked assets in the game, two stars do come in with 90 ratings.
Robert Lewandowski is one of them, though his overall rating of 90 has decreased by one despite winning the Pichichi Trophy in his first season in Spain with 23 goals. Tied with him is Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who is the highest rated shot-stopper in the game for the second year in a row.
Zamora Trophy winner Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Brazilian flyer Vinicius Junior come in at 89 before Atletico Madrid make their first appearance with Antoine Griezmann and Jan Oblak taking home 88 ratings.
La Liga's strength in midfield is clear to see. Federico Valverde (88) has overtaken clubmates Luka Modric (87) and Toni Kroos (86), while Frenkie de Jong retains his 87 rating from FIFA 23. Generational talents Jude Bellingham and Pedri both sit on 86 with much higher numbers expected in the coming years as they continue developing.
South Americans Eder Militao and Ronaldo Araujo are the best defenders in Spain's top flight according to EA with both sat on 86. Celta Vigo's Iago Aspas is the most obvious outlier on the list as his 2022/23 goals see him retain an 85 mark.
