Dundee United team news

Dundee United hope to have Charlie Mulgrew, Dylan Levitt and Tony Watt for the visit of the league leaders.

Ryan Edwards is also expected to feature after he was forced off with a broken nose in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Hearts, although Peter Pawlett won't feature after he was ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Celtic team news

David Turnbull, who injured his hamstring in the League Cup final triumph back in December, is expected to resume first-team training next week for the Hoops.

Kyogo Furuhashi remains on the sidelines following a hamstring tear, while Mikey Johnston will be unavailable.

Dundee United vs Celtic head-to-head record

The Tangerines have caused the Hoops problems this campaign, holding Celtic at Parkhead back in September before it took a stoppage time Liel Abada winner to break Dundee United's resistance in Glasgow in January.

However, Celtic were comfortable winners in the meeting at Tannadice in December, producing one of their strongest attacking displays of the season.

Dundee United vs Celtic score prediction

Last season's 2-0 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox is Celtic's only Scottish Cup reverse since they lost in the semi-finals of the competition back in 2016.

The Hoops have a rich recent history in the competition and, more pertinently, they are playing with a swagger as the business end of the season approaches.

It will be eight days since their previous game when Monday rolls around and so they should be sufficiently fresh to progress to the last four.

Prediction: Dundee United 1-3 Celtic
