Brentford's David Raya named two Spaniards among his selections for the top five goalkeepers in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old has announced himself as one of the division's better stoppers following the Bees' promotion last year, making his Spain debut earlier in 2022.
Speaking to Gianluca Di Marzio, Raya was asked to name his picks for the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, with one player standing out above the rest.
"First [is] Alisson, then Ederson, [David] De Gea, Jose Sa and [Robert] Sanchez," Raya replied.
"I'm not there [in the top five], I'm thinking about working."
De Gea's selection will have raised eyebrows in some corners considering Raya has replaced the Manchester United goalkeeper in Luis Enrique's Spain setup.
Raya's sweeping and distribution have played a big role in his route to La Roja having never previously represented his country at any level.
Spain teammate Sanchez, who is similarly more capable with the ball at his feet than De Gea, was also on Raya's list.
Notable absentees from Raya's selections include Tottenham and France captain Hugo Lloris, as well as England goalkeepers Jordan Pickford and Aaron Ramsdale. Chelsea's Edouard Mendy was also omitted from his list.
