Juventus have confirmed defender Danilo has extended his contract with the club until 2025.

The Brazilian was brought to Juve from Manchester City in a deal which saw Joao Cancelo go in the opposite direction and has grown into one of the club's key players since then.

Adept at centre-back, full-back and central midfield, Danilo has proven to be a key asset to Max Allegri in recent seasons and has recently chipped in with some key goals - most notably in the derby clash with Torino on Tuesday evening.

A club statement on the contract extension reads: "Spirit. Warrior. Leader. These three simple words describe Danilo the player, but also and above Danilo the man.

"Since his arrival at Juventus in August 2019, his attachment to our colours was immediate. Also off the pitch. He has become a point of reference and as of today his bond with our shirt becomes even stronger.

"Danilo has extended his contract until 2025. So, his story with the Bianconeri continues. And we couldn't be happier."
