Crystal Palace are looking for a first win under new manager Patrick Vieira and face their fourth Premier League London derby of the season as they host Tottenham at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles have already played Chelsea, Brentford and West Ham, taking two points from those three games. There is a feeling that they are improving, but the points need to start coming soon.

Spurs are top of the table and will provide a major test, but they are potentially lacking a few starters for various reasons and Palace will hope there is opportunity to spring an upset.

Here’s a look at the starting XI Vieira could pick…

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Vicente Guaita (GK) - The Spaniard may have his work cut out trying to keep a second clean sheet of the season. The first came against Brentford.

Joel Ward (RB) - Few may have expected him to still be at Selhurst Park this season but the right-back has been an ever-present in all competitions so far.

Joachim Andersen (CB) - Palace are yet to lose a Premier League game in which the Dane has started, having secured back-to-back draws against Brentford and West Ham.

Marc Guehi (CB) - Being named England Under-21 captain should be a confidence boost for Guehi who, as a former Chelsea man, knows all about the importance of beating Spurs.

Tyrick Mitchell (LB) - The 22-year-old has made the left-back spot his own again this season after a few stop-start opportunities during the 2020/21 campaign.

2. Midfielders

Conor Gallagher (CM) - The on-loan star was the hero for Palace last time out, scoring twice to ensure the team came away from the derby against West Ham with a point.

Cheikhou Kouyate (CM) - Had to fill in at centre-back on the opening weekend of the season but Palace have been unbeaten in the two Premier League game since he was restored to midfield.

Luka Milivojevic (CM) - The Serbian hasn’t played yet this season because he has been lacking fitness. The international break therefore probably came at a good time to get extra training in.

3. Forwards

Jordan Ayew (RW) - Has started three of Palace’s four games in all competitions so far this season and is likely to hold onto his place as Michael Olise probably won’t start.

Christian Benteke (ST) - The Belgian got an assist last time out and will be keen to try and add a first goal of the season this time. Service will be crucial.

Wilfried Zaha (LW) - Palace fans are yet to see Zaha really get going yet but there is hope that he could take advantage of a reshuffled Spurs defence.
