Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has reportedly garnered the interest of the Premier League's Crystal Palace as the forward's fee has dropped in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

After a year on loan, Edouard was bought from Paris Saint-Germain for £9m in the summer of 2018 without making a senior appearance for the French giants.

The 23-year-old has been a revelation in Glasgow and scored 21 league goals and registered nine assists in 27 matches before the 2019/20 season was prematurely concluded in Scotland.

Several Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for the prolific forward and back in January, a 90min exclusive revealed that Edouard himself was keen on a move south during the winter window, although Celtic were insistent that he stay.

The Bhoys got their way then, but Edouard has again been the subject of Premier League interest, with Crystal Palace expressing the most recent intent according to reports by The Sun.

The Eagles are thought to be lining up an offer for Edouard whose evaluation has been reduced from £30m given the financial implications football clubs are facing with games behind closed doors.

Roy Hodgson has guided Crystal Palace to the safety of mid-table, but the south London side have been desperately short of goals - only rock bottom Norwich City have netted fewer this season.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers - the man in charge of Celtic when Edouard first joined the Scottish champions back in 2017 - is also believed to be monitoring the Frenchman's situation despite Jamie Vardy's recent goalscoring exploits.

The current Championship leaders Leeds United are another side to be named among Edouard's ever-growing list of suitors.

However, despite this widespread interest, Celtic's manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that negotiations are underway to extend Edouard's stay in Glasgow. After the season's early conclusion, Edouard admitted he was 'flattered' by the transfer links but also expressed an interest in helping guide Celtic to an unprecedented tenth consecutive top flight title.
