Cristiano Ronaldo's best Juventus goals - ranked

Juventus may be on a downward spiral, but the more things change, the more they stay the same: Cristiano Ronaldo is still scoring goals.

Incredibly, the 36-year-old is still doing what he does best - hitting the back of the net with a football - and at a relentless pace. He's been so prolific in the black and white stripes of Juve that in less than three seasons, he's already managed to reach the unbelievable 100-goal milestone.

And while the haters will call him 'Penaldo' and claim that he only scores tap-ins, he has blasted home some absolute screamers since moving to Turin in 2018. But which are his best goals?

In honour of Ronaldo bringing the ton up against Sassuolo on Wednesday evening, 90min has decided to analyse his 100 goals, pick out the best 10 - and rank them, of course.

10. AS Roma - February 2021

This is as clinical as they come. When you're a man with the stature of Ronaldo, space is not often something you are regularly afforded. So you have to work around that, at times.

He did just that against AS Roma in February 2021, taking a touch with his right foot on the rim of the box, and instantaneously hitting a left-footed strike from a standing position. It had the legs and accuracy to find the far corner. Who needs space nowadays?

9. Lyon - August 2020

Five-star weak foot. Juventus needed something special against Lyon, and Ronaldo came up with the goods. He picked up the ball on the right of the penalty area, dipped inside onto his left foot and thwacked a drive as hard as he could.

The strike caught the Lyon shot-stopper completely off guard, and although he got a hand to it, the power of the hit meant that he couldn't quite turn it away. Bosh.

8. Crotone - February 2021

There's something about Ronaldo rising to meet a floated cross that just hits differently. He was at it again as recently as February 2021, when Juve took on Crotone.

The ball was hung up in the air towards the edge of the six-yard box, and from nowhere, Ronaldo raced into view. He jumped, soared and connected with the delivery with such power that he sent a thumping header crashing into the ground and bouncing into the net. He's still got it.

7. Udinese - January 2021

Talk about being clinical. This was trademark CR7, working inside from the left and isolating a defender. The Udinese man had no chance as he backtracked, and in the blink of an eye, it was all over.

Ronaldo took a step inside and blasted the ball with his right foot, propelling it towards the far post. His effort just curled enough to evade the woodwork, and caressed the net on its way in.

6. Cagliari - November 2020

He scored an absolute hatful against Cagliari in his first 100 Juve goals, so it makes sense that he achieved one of these entries against the Sardinian side.

This one was a thing of beauty, cutting in from the left flank, jinking onto his right foot and unleashing a pearler which whipped and nestled into the far corner. Mamma mia.

5. Genoa - June 2020

Now this was rolling back the years. Ronaldo dropped deep to collect possession and then set off towards the Genoa goal. He charged with pace at the panicking Genoa defence, and upon reaching the lip of the penalty area, decided to have a crack.

HIs shot took flight, and much like an aeroplane at take-off, began low and slowly rose in altitude. It continued on its upward trajectory before crashing against the back of the net, giving the helpless keeper no chance. Vintage CR7.

4. Torino - July 2020

We know Ronaldo has a bit of a love-hate relationship with free-kicks - as in, he loves taking them, but his teammates hate him for it. This time however, he got it all spot on.

The Juve star waited until the Turin derby in July 2020 to release this thunderbolt, hitting an arcing, dipping wedge from the edge of the box which flew into the top corner. We'll see you in another two years, future free-kick goal.

3. Empoli - October 2018

Ronaldo's first proper screamer for Juventus. The forward received the ball on the right-hand side of the final third, about 25 yards from goal, and took aim.

He rifled a hammer towards the far top corner, and the ball whistled like a missile beyond the goalkeeper. The fans had waited patiently for a real thunderbolt, and after only a couple of months, they'd got their reward.

2. Manchester United - November 2018

The technique on this! It's hard enough to meet a plummeting ball on the full with any real conviction, but to hit the cleanest of volleys as it's dropping over your shoulder? Staggering.

Ronaldo combined pace, poise and frightening precision on this one, racing onto a long pass before wafting a right boot in the ball's direction and blasting it past a stricken goalkeeper. All against Manchester United, too. Levels.

1. Sampdoria - December 2019

WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?! I don't care what anyone says, this is one of the best headers of all time. Ronaldo's incredible ability to leap through the air gives him the appearance of hanging, but he was off the ground for so long for this one that he looked like he'd grown wings.

Rising at the back stick to meet a deep cross, the forward sailed metres in the air, towering above his marker to plant a perfectly cushioned header from whence the ball came. It doesn't get much better than that.
