Cristiano Ronaldo has added to his endless list of personal accolades by scooping the PFA Vertu Motors Premier League Fans' Player of the Month award for April.
Ronaldo endured an incredibly difficult month in his personal life following the death of his baby son. On the pitch, the 37-year-old continued to act as an example.
In just four Premier League appearances across April, Ronaldo scored four times and hauled Manchester United to vital points in two of those matches.
The highlight of the forward's month was undoubtedly his match-winning hat-trick against Norwich City at Old Trafford. After United had thrown away the two-goal cushion that he had provided, Ronaldo stepped up and unleashed a trademark free kick that flew into the back of the net to seal the three points and the match ball.
The Portuguese superstar also netted in his next appearance away to Arsenal, although that strike was ultimately in vain. He finished the month with another crucial contribution against Chelsea at the Theatre of Dreams, controlling Nemanja Matic's scooped through ball and smashing an equaliser into the roof of the net to rescue a point for the Red Devils.
Ronaldo's five-goal haul for the month saw him take 31% of the fan vote, sealing the accolade ahead of Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes (23%) and Man City maestro Kevin De Bruyne (17%).
Tottenham's Son Heung-min (13%), De Bruyne's teammate Gabriel Jesus (10%) and Southamton talisman James Ward-Prowse (6%) were the other players nominated for April.
