Clubs with the most players at Euro 2020

Euro 2020 will feature players from clubs all over Europe this summer. How many players a club sends to a major international tournament is a bragging right, especially if that number is north of 10.

Players here are classed as being at the club they finished the 2020/21 club season with, so any player one loan is counted for that club, rather than their parent club. Any player who has already pre-emptively agreed a summer transfer - for example, David Alaba to Real Madrid, or will be leaving as a free agent - is listed with the club where they still have a contract until 30 June.

Here's a look at which clubs have the most players going to Euro 2020 this summer.

16. Napoli - 8 players

Napoli's Dries Mertens is one of the oldest players in a Belgium looking to win a major trophy before the country's golden generation fades.

15. Dinamo Zagreb - 8 players

Dinamo Zagreb are sending eight players to Euro 2020, including Mislav Orsic, who scored a Europa League hat-trick against Tottenham.

14. Tottenham - 8 players

Wales is the single most represented Euro 2020 team by Tottenham players, with Gareth Bale, Ben Davies and Joe Rodon all in the squad.

13. Barcelona - 8 players

Barcelona have relatively few players named in Euro 2020 squads compared to what would normally be expected, including only three on Spain's list.

12. Liverpool - 8 players

Trent Alexander-Arnold was the headline inclusion in the England squad but was then forced to withdraw with an injury suffered in a warm-up game.

11. Inter - 8 players

Players at Euro 2020: Nicolo Barella (Italy), Alessandro Bastoni (Italy), Romelu Lukaku (Belgium), Christian Eriksen (Denmark), Stefan de Vrij (Netherlands), Ivan Perisic (Croatia), Marcelo Brozovic (Croatia), Milan Skriniar (Slovakia)

Eight players from Inter's 2020/21 Serie A title winners will be at Euro 2020, including 30-goal striker Romelu Lukaku for Belgium.

10. Atalanta - 9 players

There were initially eight Atalanta players named in final Euro 2020 squads but Matteo Pessina was a late replacement call-up for Italy to make it nine.

9. RB Leipzig - 9 players

RB Leipzig would have had 10 players at Euro 2020 had it not been for a late injury to Dominik Szoboszlai that forced him out of Hungary's squad.

8. Borussia Monchengladbach – 10 players

Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach are the single most represented club in the Switzerland squad, with four players called up.

7. Borussia Dortmund - 10 players

Two of Borussia Dortmund's young talents are playing for England at Euro 2020, with Jadon Sancho and 17-year-old Jude Bellingham called up.

6. Manchester United - 10 players

There is a strong chance that a Manchester United player could win Euro 2020 this summer with France, Portugal, England and Spain represented.

5. Dynamo Kyiv - 11 players

Dynamo Kyiv have more players in a single Euro 2020 than any other club. As many as 10 of their stars are representing Ukraine this summer.

4. Juventus - 12 players

Cristiano Ronaldo will be looking to retain the European Championship title he won in 2016, but several Juventus teammates might pose a threat.

3. Bayern Munich - 14 players

Bayern Munich are contributing eight of Germany's squad, but plenty of eyes will be on Poland's Robert Lewandowski to see if he can deliver.

England, France and Germany are all well represented by Chelsea at Euro 2020, with a broad spectrum of old and young talent across the board.

Manchester City's enviable squad depth was the key to their 2020/21 Premier League so it is not surprising to see so many players at Euro 2020.
