Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has insisted Kylian Mbappe's clash with the club over a season ticket promotional video was simply a 'misunderstanding'.

Mbappe publicly called out PSG after a video promoting next season's season tickets included footage of an interview he conducted and focused almost solely on the Frenchman, assuring fans 'it is certainly not Kylian Saint-Germain'.

The video has since been taken down and Galtier has attempted to move on from the dust-up.

"It is difficult to assess this issue," Galtier began. "Kylian has trained as normal, committed as ever.

"I know that he has spoken with the management and that the misunderstanding has been resolved."

The clash comes at a time in which PSG find themselves in a period of uncertainty both on and off the field.

Galtier's future is up in the air after PSG's elimination from the Champions League was followed by two consecutive home defeats in Ligue 1 as part of a disasterous start to 2023. Indeed, the Parisians have already lost more league games this calendar year (five) than across the entirety of 2022 (three).

On the pitch, Mbappe's future remains unclear and the same goes for Lionel Messi, who has been whistled by supporters as he inches closer to a departure from the club.

"I have my share of the responsibility, the coach and the staff, as well as the players," Galtier said. "When I spoke to the players earlier this week, I mentioned responsibility.

"The president [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] came to see us and spoke in the locker room. Everything said in the locker room stays in the locker room, but it was important that he was there."
