Chelsea and Wolves meet at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon as both look to get past some rough patches of form.

The Blues enter this weekend with Champions League qualification almost secured but have won just one of their previous four Premier League outings, most recently drawing with Manchester United and falling to defeat against Everton in their last two.

Wolves have some hope of finishing in the top seven and can at least momentarily draw level with West Ham with a win on Saturday. A win looks unlikely at the moment, however, with a run of three consecutive defeats behind them; a 3-0 home drubbing at the hands of Brighton last time out compounded previous 1-0 losses to Newcastle and Burnley respectively.

Thomas Tuchel, however, ought to have N'Golo Kante back available for selection alongside Andreas Christensen and Ross Barkley, who should both have recovered from illnesses.

The Blues will still be without Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who continue their lengthy spells on the sidelines.

Wolves team news

Bruno Lage will have to make do without Nelson Semedo because of a thigh problem he sustained against Brighton - an injury that could keep him out for the remainder of the season.

He won't be alone in the treatment room, either, being joined by fellow key men Max Kilman and Daniel Podence.

Chelsea vs Wolves prediction

You'd be a fool to expect any major fireworks in this one.

With both sides clashing in the midst of bumpy patches containing little excitement of their own making, it probably won't be much more entertaining than the 0-0 draw they played out earlier in the campaign.

With a fitter squad and the obvious superiority in talent at their disposal, however, expect Chelsea to further cement a Champions League-place finish this weekend.

Prediction: Chelsea 1-0 Wolves
