Chelsea will look to string together two consecutive victories for the first time since early October when they welcome Borussia Dortmund to Stamford Bridge for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Graham Potter's Blues were solid in the first leg but were caught out by an electric counter from Karim Adeyemi, who earned Dortmund a 1-0 victory to take into this second leg.

Chelsea fell to two more defeats before the weekend's victory over Leeds restored some much-needed confidence, and they will hope to build on that momentum with a massive victory here.

Here's all you need to know about this one.

Chelsea team news

Reece James is expected to return after missing the Leeds game with a minor injury, but there will be no sign of Mason Mount. The midfielder is dealing with an abdominal injury but is serving a one-game suspension anyway.

Thiago Silva, Edouard Mendy and Armando Broja are confirmed absentees, while Cesar Azpilicueta is also facing a battle to return to the squad.

N'Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic could return to the bench but both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Benoit Badiashile, Noni Madueke and David Datro Fofana are all out of the Champions League squad and will have to watch from the sidelines.

Chelsea vs Borussia Dortmund score prediction

Chelsea were much improved against Leeds but still flashed plenty of frailties at both ends of the pitch, and that's something Dortmund will be confident of exploiting.

The German side are on a ten-game unbeaten run across all competitions and, despite having to weather a bit of a storm in the first leg, Dortmund will believe they have what it takes to keep Chelsea's stuttering attack at bay.

Dortmund may play a little more defensive to protect their lead, which could lead to a quiet affair from which Edin Terzic's side should emerge on top.

Prediction: Chelsea 0-1 Borussia Dortmund
