Chelsea travel to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City in a blockbuster Carabao Cup tie this week.

After an excellent start under new boss Graham Potter, the Blues have just dropped a level in recent weeks, and they will be keen to get themselves back on the right track, starting by dumping Man City out of one of their favourite competitions.

Here is how Potter could set Chelsea up for the clash.

GK: Edouard Mendy - Strength of the opposition means he'll likely get the nod over Marcus Bettinelli.

RB: Cesar Azpilicueta - Chelsea have their injury problems in defence but Mr. Reliable is fit and available.

CB: Trevoh Chalobah - Been a mainstay of the team of late.

CB: Kalidou Koulibaly - ready to return following injury, and he's timed it well.

LB: Marc Cucurella - With Ben Chilwell injured, the former Brighton man will be the main beneficiary.

DM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek - Finally enjoying a good run in the Chelsea side and little reason for that to stop.

CM: Conor Gallagher - Should get another chance to stake a claim for more minutes - and a spot in England's World Cup squad.

CM: Denis Zakaria - Got to be given a proper chance at some point, you'd think. If not now, then when?

RF: Christian Pulisic - Probably about due a start.

CF: Armando Broja - Not really had many opportunities but should get one here.

LF: Hakim Ziyech - Been out of favour of late but good time to reintegrate him into the side.
