The Champions League returns to our television screens, laptops, mobile phones and tablets on Tuesday night with Manchester United and Arsenal both in action.

The Red Devils have struggled of late, most recently falling to a 1-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace, and approach their meeting with Galatasaray knowing three points would help ease the anxiety around Old Trafford.

The Gunners, meanwhile, remain in clinical form as they target both domestic and continental silverware. Their trip to Lens will be among the most-watched games on Tuesday, while Napoli's meeting with Real Madrid is bound to attract viewers not always of a La Liga or Serie A persuasion.

Here's how to keep track on Tuesday evening's Champions League fixtures.

Union Berlin vs Braga - Group C

  • Location: Berlin, Germany
  • Stadium: Olympiastadion
  • Date: Tuesday 3 October
  • Kick-off Time: 17:45 BST / 12:45 ET / 09:45 PT
  • Referee: Srđan Jovanović (SRB)
  • VAR: Ivan Bebek (CRO)

This is a historic campaign for Union Berlin given they're making their Champions League bow, but they've suffered five straight defeats in all competitions heading into their second group game.

Urs Fischer's hard-working outfit came ever so close to securing a point at Real Madrid on Matchday 1 but their resilience was compromised by Jude Bellingham at the last.

Now, they'll be looking to stop the rut and secure their first-ever Champions League points at the Olympiastadion on Tuesday night as a beatable Braga side visit the German capital.

Salzburg vs Real Sociedad - Group D

  • Location: Salzburg, Austria
  • Stadium: Red Bull Arena
  • Date: Tuesday 3 October
  • Kick-off Time: 17:45 BST / 12:45 ET / 09:45 PT
  • Referee: Bartosz Frankowski (POL)
  • VAR: Tomasz Kwiatkowski (POL)

Real Sociedad were very impressive in their opening group encounter against Inter, but a late Lautaro Martinez strike meant the Spaniards didn't get their just reward.

While Inter are expected to top Group D, second place will be fiercely competed between the other three teams so this is a pretty significant fixture in the group.

Salzburg's campaign got off to the perfect start away at Benfica, although they were aided by Antonio Silva's early dismissal. Victory on Tuesday will leave the Austrians in an excellent position in the group.

Kobenhavn vs Bayern Munich - Group A

  • Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Stadium: Parken Stadium
  • Date: Tuesday 3 October
  • Kick-off Time: 20:00 BST / 15:00 ET / 12:00 PT
  • Referee: Orel Grinfeeld (ISR)
  • VAR: Roi Reinshreiber (ISR)

This is not yet a juggernaut of a Bayern Munich side despite the arrival of Harry Kane, who was on the scoresheet again at the weekend in their 2-2 draw with RB Leipzig.

Competent teams have been able to get at Thomas Tuchel's men at the start of the new season, with Bayern struggling to prevent the flow of goals in the defensive third. Their games have so far been entertaining and they edged Manchester United out by a 4-3 scoreline in their group opener.

While Kobenhavn have typically struggled in this competition, teams have found it hard to beat them on their own patch in recent times. The Danish side drew all three group games last season and surely would have beaten Galatasaray on Matchday 1 had they not been reduced to ten men.

Manchester United vs Galatasaray - Group A

  • Location: Manchester, England
  • Stadium: Old Trafford
  • Date: Tuesday 3 October
  • Kick-off Time: 20:00 BST / 15:00 ET / 12:00 PT
  • Referee: Ivan Kružliak (SVK)
  • VAR: Bastian Dankert (GER)

This is a massive game for Erik ten Hag and Man Utd. While very few gave them a chance of beating Bayern in their own backyard, this is a fixture they simply have to win if they're to progress into the knockouts alongside the German champions.

United have suffered back-to-back home defeats in the Premier League heading into this one, although a Galatasaray side laden with former English top flight stars struggled at home to Kobenhavn on Matchday 1.

Lens vs Arsenal - Group B

  • Location: Lens, France
  • Stadium: Estadio Bollaert-Delelis
  • Date: Tuesday 3 October
  • Kick-off Time: 20:00 BST / 15:00 ET / 12:00 PT
  • Referee: Marco Guida (ITA)
  • VAR: Paolo Valeri (ITA)

Arsenal celebrated their Champions League return with a majestic display against a naive PSV side, with the Gunners taking full advantage of Peter Bosz's bold but ultimately kamikaze ideals.

A trickier game is in store on the road this week as they head to Lens, who qualified for this competition for the first time since 1997 after enjoying an excellent Ligue 1 season last time out.

Their loss of key players over the summer had rendered them inferior this time around, but they have picked up some points in recent outings after enduring a wretched start to the campaign.

PSV Eindhoven vs Sevilla - Group B

  • Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands
  • Stadium: Philips Stadion
  • Date: Tuesday 3 October
  • Kick-off Time: 20:00 BST / 15:00 ET / 12:00 PT
  • Referee: Daniele Orsato (ITA)
  • VAR: Massimiliano Irrati (ITA)

PSV were cast aside by Arsenal on Matchday 1 and they could really do with a victory at home to Sevilla on Tuesday.

The Dutch side continue to stroll in the Eredivisie having won their opening seven games, but they could once again come unstuck in Europe. While Sevilla are far from spectacular, they are savvy and fully capable of exploiting sides akin to Bosz's PSV.

The Spaniards were held at home to Lens on Matchday 1.

Napoli vs Real Madrid - Group C

  • Location: Naples, Italy
  • Stadium: Stadio Diego Armando Maradona
  • Date: Tuesday 3 October
  • Kick-off Time: 20:00 BST / 15:00 ET / 12:00 PT
  • Referee: Clément Turpin (FRA)
  • VAR: Jérôme Brisard (FRA)

The standout fixture on Tuesday night arrives in Naples as Scudetto holders Napoli welcome the almighty Real Madrid to the Maradona.

Amid their recent off-field issues, Napoli have dazzled on the pitch and head into this bout with 4-1 and 4-0 Serie A triumphs under their belt. Victor Osimhen remains content and prolific on the pitch and has a big role to play against an injury-hit Madrid backline.

Los Blancos have started the season excellently and sit atop La Liga having beaten the high-flying Girona at the weekend.

This should be a proper Champions League duel with both teams winning their opening group game.

Inter vs Benfica - Group D

  • Location: Milan, Italy
  • Stadium: San Siro
  • Date: Tuesday 3 October
  • Kick-off Time: 20:00 BST / 15:00 ET / 12:00 PT
  • Referee: Danny Makkelie (NED)
  • VAR: Rob Dieperink (NED)

Inter escaped San Sebastian with a point on Matchday 1 and it's unlikely Simone Inzaghi will make the same mistake of rotating his side so heavily for this fixture.

These two met in the iconic European Cup final of 1965 and also faced off in the quarter-finals of this competition last season. Inter have historically had Benfica's number and it'll be tough for Roger Schmidt's side to win at San Siro on Tuesday night.

However, the Portuguese side enter this bout having claimed victory in O Classico at the weekend.
