Celtic will be looking to move one step closer to regaining the Scottish Premiership title when they host struggling St. Johnstone on Saturday.

The Hoops go into this one off the back of a sensational Old Firm victory over Rangers. In a thoroughly entertaining contest, goals from Tom Rogic and Cameron Carter-Vickers cancelled out Aaron Ramsey's early opener to move Ange Postecoglou's side six points clear at the top of the table.

St. Johnstone, meanwhile, travel to Glasgow with some good momentum themselves. The Saints are unbeaten in their last three, and beat Livingstone 1-0 last time out.

Celtic team news

Celtic had hoped to welcome Kyogo Furuhashi back into the fold for their Old Firm triumph, but he unfortunately missed. Another six days of rest will hopefully be enough time for him to return this time out.

James Forrest sat out of the Glasgow derby too, and it is yet to be confirmed if he'll make it back on Saturday.

St. Johnstone team news

Former Liverpool man Tony Gallagher is set to be out for the remainder of the season and a portion of next campaign with a leg fracture.

St. Johnstone will have to fare without Daniel Cleary as well. He recently had to have stitches in his foot following a painful knock.

Celtic vs St. Johnstone score prediction

49 points separate these two sides in the table and come 5pm on Saturday, that chasm will have likely increased to over a half-century.

Even though St Johnstone have managed to piece together some form at just the right time, they will need a pretty sizeable miracle to upset the odds at Celtic Park.

The Hoops have already beaten the Saints three times this season and we cannot look past them earning another win this weekend.

Prediction: Celtic 3-0 St. Johnstone
