Celtic team news

Kyogo Furuhashi was forced off early on against Rangers with a shoulder injury but was spotted training with the rest of the Celtic squad on Monday morning.

However, Carl Starfelt was not among the group with manager Ange Postecoglou expected to give an update in his press conference before Tuesday's game.

Real Madrid team news

Real have no major fitness concerns. Alvaro Odriozola has a knock, but he likely wouldn't have featured regardless.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti may elect to partner David Alaba alongside Eder Militao in central defence, leaving summer signing on the bench. Toni Kroos will come back into the starting XI having been rested on the weekend.

Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Celtic

Real Madrid Starting 11: Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Mendy; Modric, Tchouameni, Kroos; Valverde, Benzema, Vinicius.

Celtic vs Real Madrid score prediction

Everything points to this game being a cracker. The two teams are in terrific form and the hosts will be roared on by a passionate and expectant home crowd.

Los Blancos' only clean sheet of the season came in their Super Cup victory over Eintracht Frankfurt - they've conceded a goal in each of their past four La Liga games. That defensive weakness might be exploited by Celtic, but it's the attacking quality going the other way which will probably decide the fixture.

Benzema and Vinicius are a scary duo and Celtic will have to be at their best to keep them quiet. On paper, Real are favourites to kick off their group campaign with a victory.

Prediction: Celtic 1-3 Real Madrid
