The fourth round of the Scottish Cup looks set to offer up some fireworks at a meeting between Celtic and Rangers is on the cards.

Steven Gerrard's league champions still need to navigate their third-round tie with League One's Cove Rangers on Sunday, but given they have lost just twice in all competitions this season, they are clear favourites for that game.

If they get through as expected, they'll have to brace themselves for a visit from defending champions Celtic across the weekend of April 17, with the Old Firm derby being the clear standout tie from the fourth round.

It's Rangers who have had the better of Celtic this season. A 2-0 win in October was followed by a 1-0 victory in January, but John Kennedy's men ended their run of defeats with a respectable 1-1 draw shortly before the last international break.

4th round draw in full

Aberdeen vs Livingston

Forfar Athletic vs Dundee United

Kilmarnock vs Montrose

Motherwell vs Greenock Morton

Rangers/Cove Rangers vs Celtic

St. Johnstone vs Clyde

St. Mirren vs Inverness Caledonian Thistle

Stranraer vs Queen of the South/Hibernian

The rest of the fourth-draw doesn't exactly get the mouth watering, but if we look to the fifth-round draw, a potential meeting between New Firm rivals Aberdeen and Dundee United could steal the show.

For that match to happen, Aberdeen would need to get through Livingston, while Dundee United must come out on top in their trip to Forfar Athletic.

5th round draw in full

Kilmarnock/Montrose vs St.Mirren/Inverness Caledonian Thistle

Rangers/Cove Rangers/Celtic vs St. Johnstone/Clyde

Fifth-round ties will be played one week after the fourth, over the weekend of April 24.

The lucky four teams to make it through to the semi-final will butt heads on May 8, before the final is held on May 22 at Hampden Park.
