Barcelona travel to face Celta Vigo this weekend looking to halt their slide down the table following Ronald Koeman's departure.

The Dutchman was sacked just over a week ago following a 1-0 defeat to Rayo Vallecano, while interim boss Sergi Barjuan has overseen a draw against Alaves and a slender victory over Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League.

Barça are currently marooned in mid-table, having gone three games without a win in La Liga, and they trail surprise leaders Real Sociedad by nine points.

Here's 90min's preview of their trip to Celta.

Jose Manuel Fontan and Kevin Vazquez are likely to be available for Celta this weekend in a boost to boss Eduardo Coudet.

The hosts, as it stands, will have a full complement of players to choose should they be available, and will fancy their chances of springing a surprise.

Sergio Aguero won't appear for Barcelona for the next few months after suffering chest pains in the draw with Alaves.

The Argentine is on the mend, and, thankfully, has been released from hospital after undergoing cardiac tests. Joining him on the sidelines is Gerard Pique, teenage sensation Pedri, Ronald Araujo and Martin Braithwaite, all of whom have injuries of their own.

In a further blow, Ousmane Dembele is once again unavailable after picking up a hamstring strain.

Celta Vigo reigned supreme when these two sides met at the end of last season, with a brace from Santi Mina at Camp Nou ending Barcelona's title hopes in a 2-1 win.

Barça boast the superior head-to-head in this fixture since the turn of the century, but it's not the all conquering record you think it might be. The Catalan giants have 16 wins from 36 encounters, also drawing and losing ten times respectively.

The uncertainty over whether Xavi will immediately succeed Koeman hasn't aided Barcelona's performances, and the situation is now becoming critical in La Liga.

Barça simply cannot afford to slip further off the pace, but injuries may prove to be their downfall against a Celta side who boast a mean defence despite a relatively slow start to the season.

It could be all square when it's all said and done.

Prediction: Celta Vigo 1-1 Barcelona
