Casemiro says he is happy playing for Manchester United and wants to win more trophies with the club as rumours swirl over his future.

The Brazilian was brought in from Real Madrid during the summer of 2022 and enjoyed a positive first season at Old Trafford, winning the Carabao Cup while becoming a pivotal member of Erik ten Hag's starting XI. However, his performances have been more inconsistent in his second campaign, with injury also limiting his involvement.

90min revealed in December that Casemiro had accepted his future lies away from Man Utd, with significant interest in his services emerging from the Saudi Pro League.

However, the 31-year-old has claimed he is more than content with everything at his new club.

He said: "It's all amazing, since the first day, I was made to feel very welcome by the club, the players and the fans.

"I received so much love - on and off the pitch. It was a unique and magical experience, and I needed such an experience. I am so happy in Manchester with everything the city and the club offer me.

"I am happy with that and with helping the club improve and get back to the path of achievements. So yeah, I'm happy to play for Manchester United."

Casemiro hasn't played since early November in the 3-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle but returned to the starting lineup for the club's FA Cup fifth round win over Newport Country on Sunday.

Central defender Lisandro Martinez also made his first start since injury too, having appeared as a substitute in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham earlier this month.
