Carlo Ancelotti says he believes he has the best midfield in the world with Real Madrid trio Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
The three have been acclaimed far and wide for their consistent contributions to Los Blancos' success over the past ten years or so, each playing their roles in La Liga and Champions League triumphs.
Their world class status as a trio is hardly disputed, and Ancelotti has claimed nobody can compare to Casemiro, Kroos and Modric.
When asked if he had the best midfield in the world, he told AS: "Yes, I think so. Those three make up the best midfield in the world right now.
"Maybe the box-to-box midfielders are more what you think of, but Modric, Kroos and Casemiro have so much experience and are so good at the game that they are simply extraordinary. What's more, it turns out they play so well together. When the three of them are together there's nobody who can compare to them."
Not only do Real boast one of the finest midfields in the world, but their striker is among the best on the planet too.
Karim Benzema has been in exceptional form over the past two years and Ancelotti hailed the Frenchman for his contributions.
Asked if Benzema is the best striker in the world, He added: "I think so, because to his game he's added a massive, regular ability to put the ball in the back of the net. He's at the level of Cristiano Ronaldo or Haaland. Benzema is a player who makes a difference. We saw it once again in the game against Athletic, with two goals in quick succession. He's in amazing form."
Real are in excellent shape in Ancelotti's first season since his return, sitting top of La Liga by eight points and winning their Champions League group with five wins from six group games.
