The Canadian men’s national team will host Panama in an international friendly on Sunday at BC Place as part of their June window.

The match replaces a previously scheduled friendly vs. Iran that was canceled amid pushback.

Les Rouges will partake in three games during the international window, hosting Panama first before turning their attention to the Concacaf Nations League meetings against Curacao on June 9, and Honduras on June 13.

Canada is no stranger to Panama as the two competed in the Concacaf Octagonal to clinch a World Cup stop. While CanMNT triumphed in first place, Panama staggered behind in fifth and subsequently did not qualify for the international tournament.

But despite rankings, Panama will not be an easy opponent for the North American team, even in a friendly setting. Panama left victorious the last time the two nations confronted each other, triumphing 1-0 on March 30 at the Rommel Fernández Stadium during the last round of qualifiers.

As Canada deals with injuries and inconsistencies in the roster, John Herdman must use the upcoming matches to determine his starting line up for the team's first World Cup appearance since 1986.
