Juventus will be eager to respond to last weekend's Derby d'Italia defeat to Inter when they travel to face lowly Cagliari in Serie A.

The Old Lady's hopes of staging an improbable Scudetto challenge were dented with defeat to the reigning champions, leaving Massimiliano Allegri's men eight points adrift of leaders Milan.

All hope is not lost in Turin, however, and Juventus will fancy their chances of returning to winning ways against a Cagliari side who have lost their last four straight games.

Here's everything you need to know about the game.

Cagliari team news

Walter Mazzarri is dealing with a raft of injury problems in Sardinia, although he will hope midfielder Kevin Strootman is fit enough for this weekend's clash.

Razvan Marin and Leonardo Pavoletti will return from Covid-19 infection, while Luca Gagliano, Luca Ceppitelli and Nahitan Nandez are still sidelined.

Juventus team news

Manuel Locatelli departed the pitch in tears during last weekend's Derby d'Italia defeat to Inter and it was confirmed that the midfielder will be out of action for a month with a knee problem.

He will join long-term absentees Weston McKennie and Federico Chiesa in the treatment room table, while Alvaro Morata and Mattia De Sciglio are suspended.

Cagliari vs Juventus score prediction

After last weekend's bitterly disappointing defeat to Inter, Juventus must respond this weekend if they have any chance of keeping their faint hopes of reclaiming the Scudetto alive.

Indeed, defeat in the Derby d'Italia was the Old Lady's first loss since November in Serie A, and there was much to take encouragement from in Juventus' performance.

Denis Zakaria impressed after replacing the injured Locatelli and, with no Champions League football to contend with, full focus can be placed on domestic matters.

Prediction: Cagliari 0-2 Juventus
