Brighton are leading a pack of Premier League clubs in the race to sign Blackburn forward Tyrhys Dolan.
Dolan has caught the eye in the Championship, recently scoring in Rovers' 3-1 victory over Derby before making an impact at international level, netting shortly after coming on as a substitute for England Under-20s in their 3-1 win over Germany.
90min understands Brighton's excellent relationship with Blackburn has helped them into pole position for Dolan. The Seagulls loaned Reda Khadra to the Championship outfit, where he has scored four goals and recorded two assists in 27 league appearances.
Brighton are offering Reda on a permanent basis in their bid to sign Dolan, though they are not the only club interested. Tottenham, West Ham and Fulham are among those tracking his progress.
Defender Jan Paul van Hecke has also spent the season away from the AMEX at Ewood Park, impressing for a Rovers side with one of the meanest defences in the Championship.
With Dan Burn leaving for Newcastle in January, Brighton have looked noticeably weaker in central defence. Van Heck could be given a chance next season, with his parent club already shunning loan offers as they want to assess him further.
After an impressive first half of the season, Graham Potter's Brighton have slipped down the Premier League table. They currently sit 13th with 33 points, having lost their last six games.
