Bournemouth have completed the signing of 20-year-old Ukraine centre-back Illia Zabarnyi from Dynamo Kyiv.

The Cherries have been busy in January, bringing in Dango Ouattara, Darren Randolph, Antoine Semenyo and Matias Vina before confirming their signing of highly rated Zabarnyi late on Deadline Day.

A fee of around £20m is understood to have been paid for Zabarnyi, who has previously been linked to a whole host of elite clubs.

“We are absolutely delighted to bring Illia to the club and he arrives with a burgeoning CV," said chief executive Neill Blake.

“Despite only being 20, he has played at the highest level for club and country and has established himself as one of the most sought-after young defenders in the world.

“We are very much looking forward to seeing him continue his development with us and know he will be a valued and important member of our squad.”

Zabarnyi has signed a contract at the Vitality Stadium until 2028.
