Marco Rose faces his former employers as Borussia Dortmund host Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga on Sunday afternoon.
Dortmund secured Rose's services in February 2021, midway through what would prove to be his final campaign at the helm of Gladbach. When the announcement was made both sides were level on points. By the end of the season Dortmund had finished third, 15 points ahead of Rose's stalling Foals.
Dortmund come into this one in need of a positive result following the 4-2 home humbling at the hands of Rangers on Thursday night's Europa League clash.

Dortmund team news
Erling Haaland, as ever, dominates the club's fitness concerns. The ruthless 21-year-old hasn't featured since the end of January with muscular issues and was left out of the squad that fell to a 4-2 defeat against Rangers in midweek. However, his return to training offers some hope of a comeback in the near future.
Manuel Akanji was forced off in that demoralising tie clutching his leg, putting his availability in doubt.
Long-term absentee Mateu Morey and right-back Thomas Meunier are expected to be sidelined this weekend.
Gladbach team news
The young French defender Mamadou Doucoure has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation from a nasty Achilles tendon rupture, missing the last two matches with muscle problems after making the bench against Union Berlin in January.
Club captain Lars Stindl isn't expected to return from a knee injury he picked up at the start of the year until March.
Dortmund vs Gladbach head-to-head record
Rose suffered a galling 1-0 defeat on his first return to Borussia Park back in September. Three weeks before the announcement of his departure, Rose actually oversaw a 4-2 victory for the Foals on home soil against BVB.
However, prior to these consecutive losses, Dortmund had won 11 straight matches against the other Borussia. In fact, the Black and Yellows have won 17 of their last 19 Bundesliga matches against Gladbach at the Westfalenstadion (D1 L1).
Gladbach's last victory as visitors to Dortmund came in March 2014, against a vintage side with Jurgen Klopp at its helm and a frontline of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Robert Lewandowski.
Dortmund vs Gladbach score prediction
For all the supposed enmity between the two camps, this should - theoretically - be a straightforward outing for Dortmund.
Gladbach's victory over Augsburg last weekend, just their second in ten games, afforded the Foals a four-point cushion above the relegation play-off place, some 20 points behind their second-placed hosts.
However, while a home win is the most likely outcome, few things are rarely so prosaic for a BVB side that have conceded more goals than ten different first-tier teams.
Prediction: Dortmund 3-2 Gladbach
