Borussia Dortmund midfielder Thomas Delaney has admitted that Jadon Sancho is beginning to feel 'pressured' by the speculation surrounding his future.

The 19-year-old is in the midst of another stellar season in the Germany, having racked up an audacious 17 goals and 20 assists for the Bundesliga title-chasers - but with his form has inevitably come a transfer saga for the ages.

Manchester United have been the main culprit linked with his signature, and while 90min understand that they are no longer likely to pull the trigger on a deal north of £100m due to the financial impact of the coronavirus crisis, there have still been plenty of reports linking Sancho with a mega-money exit this summer.

And according to Danish midfielder Delaney - who has returned to the side since the Bundesliga resumed, after six months out with injury - the England international is beginning to feel it weighing on his shoulders.

"Clearly, one of the biggest talents that I've played with," Delaney told the Gab & Juls podcast. "With that talent comes a lot of pressure, and I think he slowly starts to feel that from the England national team and clubs surrounding him now.

"Up until this point he's been a talent performing very well, performing better than what he is expected to do, but there was always going to be a next step, and that's going to be interesting - the next step in his career and his development."

Sancho's 14 goals and 17 assists in the league this season put him on 31 goal-involvements, joint top of the charts with Timo Werner (24 goals, 7 assists) and one ahead of the prolific Robert Lewandowski 27 goals, 3 assists).

His performances, Delaney reckons, have shown he is already one of the best around - but he shouldn't rest on his laurels just yet.

"Only looking at his skills, he definitely has what it takes to become one of the five biggest players in the world," the 28-year-old went on. "You see big talents go to waste, and I would say that he's already done enough to prove himself.

"He's 19 and he's got the most goal involvement in the league together with Timo Werner and Robert Lewandowski, which is amazing, but he should strive for more."
