Marseille and Nottingham Forest have both agreed loan deals with Borussia Dortmund and USMNT playmaker Giovanni Reyna, according to multiple reports.

Reyna has fallen out of favor at Dortmund and has played just 247 minutes of Bundesliga football after fracturing his fibula while playing for the US in their 2-0 win over Canada in the Concacaf Nations League final - a game in which he tallied two assists.

ESPN report that two other unnamed clubs have reached the same agreement with Dortmund - he had also been offered to Monaco, Lyon, Real Sociedad, Sevilla, Villarreal and Benfica - with the decision now down to the 21-year-old as to where he goes next.

Reyna has been looking to leave Dortmund in search of regular minutes, three months after he made his return against Union Berlin in a 4-2 win.

Should Forest and Nuno Espirito Santo be able to pull a deal off, Reyna would unite with USMNT team-mate Matt Turner at the City Ground. But he may find the lure of Marseille, who are regulars in European competition, too good to turn down, particularly if there's an immediate pathway into the first team.

Reyna's Dortmund contract runs until 2025 but he is yet to live up to the billing in Germany after joining five years ago. He has played 120 games in Black Yellow, scoring 17 goals and contributing 16 assists, and also has 24 international caps and seven goals to his name.

His chances of playing more have been slimmed by the return of Jadon Sancho on loan from Manchester United, and it hasn't taken the winger long to get up to speed after being frozen out by Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford. In his first two matches, Sancho bagged assists, helping Dortmund to comfortable wins over Darmstadt and Koln.
