Football Manager 2023 is finally here, with millions of users worldwide trying to lead their side to glory.

If you're looking to take your team to the next level, you need somebody who can put the ball in the back of the net. It's as simple as that.

Let's take a look at the best finishers in FM23.

10. Erling Haaland

Finishing: 18

He might be breaking scoring records on a weekly basis, but Haaland is not the greatest finisher in Football Manager - not yet, anyway.

The Norwegian is one of the most well-rounded strikers in the game and will score an obscene number of goals no matter who he plays for, but you imagine he'll be gunning for that 20 rating soon enough.

9. Son Heung-min

Finishing: 18

Son might not be having the best season so far, but his goalscoring feats last season have not escaped the Sports Interactive team.

The Spurs winger boasts an impressive 18 rating for finishing, while his pace and dribbling make him the ideal player to have operating as an inside forward.

8. Ciro Immobile

Finishing: 18

Lazio boast an array of talented players, but Ciro Immobile might just be the most effective of the lot.

At 32, he's probably only got a couple more years as a top-level player, but he could be worth a punt if you need someone to bang in a few goals.

7. Luis Suarez

Finishing: 18

This summer saw Luis Suarez say goodbye to European football, as the legendary striker returned to his boyhood club Nacional in his native Uruguay.

He's probably not worth signing in FM23 at his age, but his finishing skills are as potent as ever.

6. Duvan Zapata

Finishing: 18

Zapata's deadly finishing is one of his greatest attributes - but it's his strength which really makes the Colombian such a formidable opponent.

With a staggering 19 for Strength, 17 for Pace and 15 for Jumping Reach, the Atalanta striker is an absolute nightmare to defend against.

5. Romelu Lukaku

Finishing: 18

It's been a rough couple of years for Romelu Lukaku, with his disastrous Chelsea return giving way to an equally disastrous return to Inter.

Sports Interactive haven't forgotten how good the Belgian is, however, and he's still a major goal threat in FM23. He returns to Chelsea in the game following the conclusion of his loan to Inter, so there's no need to sign a new striker if you're in charge of the Blues.

4. Harry Kane

Finishing: 19

Much has been made of Kane's playmaking ability in recent years - so much so that it's easy to forget he's pretty good at putting the ball in the net too.

With a 19 rating for Finishing among a host of other positive attributes, Kane will score and create no matter where you play him on the pitch. Good luck prizing him away from Spurs, though.

3. Robert Lewandowski

Finishing: 19

No surprises here. Of course Lewandowski is one of the best finishers in Football Manager 2023; the guy makes scoring goals look laughably simple.

You're unlikely to have much luck tempting the Pole away from Barcelona, so you'll need to take the reins at Camp Nou if you fancy taking him for a spin.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo

Finishing: 19

He might be approaching the end of his career, but Ronaldo still knows where the goal is.

As he is 37 at the start of the game, the Portuguese tends to retire a couple of years into most saves, while his wages are a major obstacle to signing him if you're not already at Manchester United. If you are in the dugout at Old Trafford, stick Ronaldo up top as a poacher and watch the goals fly in.

1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Finishing: 19

Step aside, Haaland. You might be flavour of the month, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't respect your elders.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is 40 years old, but can still finish a chance with the best of them. He'll likely retire after a year or two in your save, but he'll probably go out with a bang.
