Bayern Munich are said to have submitted an improved contract offer to Ajax's Noussair Mazraoui, who also has strong interest from Barcelona.
Mazraoui's current deal expires at the end of the season and barring a miraculous, last-minute change of heart, he will be departing Amsterdam in the summer.
He has been a key player this season, barely missing a game as Erik ten Hag's side won each of their Champions League group games. He has also helped his side established themselves as favourites in the Eredivisie title race, forming part of a defence that have conceded just 13 goals in the league.
As reported by 90min recently, Barcelona had hoped to tie up an agreement for the Morrocan by the end of March. However, Sky Germany claim that Bayern are trying their hardest to prevent the right-back joining La Blaugrana.
90min understands that Die Roten are long-term admirers of Mazraoui and this latest update suggests that the Bundesliga giants have tabled a 'very good offer' to get their man.
Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested, but they remain some way behind Barcelona in the race for the defender's signature.
Barça are hoping to have a busy summer. As well as remaining hopeful of capturing
Mazraoui, they are also confident of confirming the arrivals of Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie on free transfers imminently.
Joan Laporta dropped a big hint on those signings recently, confirming that the club had completed deal for two players.
