Bayern Munich are closing in on a double-swoop for Ajax pair Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui, 90min understands.
Both players have been key members of Erik ten Hag's squad this season, helping the Eredivisie holders win each of their Champions League group games before they were surprisingly knocked out at the last-16 stage by Benfica.
Mazraoui, whose contract expires at the end of the season, looked all set to join Barcelona on a free transfer. However, 90min understands that Bayern have now overtaken La Blaugrana in the race for his signature.
Die Roten had previously been keen on signing Sergino Dest, who Barcelona are keen to shift in the summer, making this a double blow for the La Liga side.
Meanwhile, Bayern are also closing in on a move for Gravenberch. The 19-year-old has previously attracted interest from Manchester United and Juventus, although neither side has ever made a formal approach.
Gravenberch's current deal is set to expire at the end of next season and Ajax are demanding €30m for his services. Bayern are hopeful of getting a deal done for €25m, leaving room for a little negotiation.
If the pair do begin life in Bavaria next season, they will be joining an already strong Bayern squad. Julian Nagelsmann's side look set to claim the Bundesliga title again this term and remain in contention in the Champions League too.
