Bayern Munich celebrated winning the Bundesliga title, courtesy of RB Leipzig's failure to beat Borussia Dortmund earlier in the day, in magnificent fashion - thrashing Borussia Monchengladbach 6-0 at the Allianz Arena.

Goals from Thomas Muller, Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sane and a hat-trick from Robert Lewandowski ensured Bayern celebrated their ninth consecutive title win in style, further demonstrating their dominance of German football.

It only took the hosts two minutes to break the deadlock as David Alaba's cross was converted by Lewandowski, before Muller scored a deflected effort from Jamal Musiala's cut back. It was three ten minutes later when Muller's lofted ball into the box was spectacularly met by Bayern's Polish talisman, who secured his brace with an acrobatic volley into the near post.

Die Roten made it four before half time when Coman precisely finished into the bottom corner, and they extended their lead further 20 minutes after the break when Lewandowski completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot.

The evening was tarnished a little when substitute Tanguy Nianzou was shown a straight red card, but that didn't stop Sane from making it six, converting Serge Gnabry's perfectly weighted through ball.

Here's how Bayern's players rated on the night...

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Manuel Neuer (GK) - 6/10 - Only forced into making one stop but sometimes rushed out to good effect, giving us the sweeper 'keeper we love to see.

Benjamin Pavard (RB) - 8/10 -
Looked his usual creative self but his best work came in defence, covering brilliantly well and making eight interventions - three of which were goal-saving.

Jerome Boateng (CB) - 7/10 -
Started the match sloppily but woke up and started to read the game well, eventually making three interceptions.

Lucas Hernandez (CB) - 8/10 - Showed great positional awareness and remained solid all game, making nine interventions.

Alphonso Davies (LB) - 8/10 -
Excellent in defence, staying resolute throughout to track back and constantly deny Gladbach on the break. Made an impact up top too, playing a crucial part in his side's fourth.

2. Midfielders

Joshua Kimmich (CM) - 7/10 - As usual his distribution was spot on, maintaining an accuracy of 96%. Held things together well, making five ball recoveries while also threading the ball through Gladbach's lines to make his side tick.

David Alaba (CM) - 7/10 - Covered ground all over the field and broke up play well, making six ball recoveries. Added a threat upfield as well, assisting Lewandowski's first with a whipped cross.

Thomas Muller (AM) - 8/10 - Picked out some lovely areas around the box and was heavily involved in Bayern's menacing moves throughout, registering three key passes. Finished well for his side's second and crossed wonderfully for the third.

3. Forwards

Kingsley Coman (RW) - 8/10 - Looked a threat from minute one, creating panic among Gladbach defenders with direct running. His surge forward was crucial in creating the opportunity for Bayern's second and he finished brilliantly to make it four.

Robert Lewandowski (ST) - 10/10 -
His hunger for goals is irrepressible. Was constantly in scoring positions and secured a beautifully-taken hat-trick to move to within one of Gerd Muller's Bundesliga scoring record.

Jamal Musiala (LW) - 7/10 -
Drifted around nicely and looked dangerous whenever he picked the ball up. Couldn't quite find a way through to score himself, but showed good vision to assist Muller.

4. Substitutes

Leon Goretzka (CM) - 7/10 - Added a presence and won the penalty that made it 5-0. Unfortunately was forced off ten minutes after coming on through what looked like a niggle.

Serge Gnabry (LW) - 7/10 - Supplied a great assist for Bayern's sixth.

Leroy Sane (RW) - 6/10 - Didn't create very much but finished well to convert Gnabry's pass late on.

Tanguy Nianzou (CM) - 1/10 - Shown a red four minutes after coming on.

Javi Martinez (CB) - 6/10
