Twitter reacts as Granada draw ramps up pressure on Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman

Another day, another reminder of just how far Barcelona have fallen.
This time, it was a pitiful 1-1 draw with La Liga minnows Granada, in which Barça required a last-minute header from Ronald Araujo to avoid defeat. Wow.

Prior to the centre-back - who was his side's standout performer by some distance - netting that dramatic equaliser, plenty of amusing things happened.
Barcelona kicked off in shambolic fashion, as has been their trademark flavour in recent years, conceding the opener inside two minutes.
An injury to Alex Balde then left them without a single, fit left-back in the entire squad and Luuk de Jong also came on to put in an all-time worst substitute appearance in the second half. Oh yeah, and Gerard Pique came on up front.
Barcelona. The club in theory with the style, the philosophy. Their front three tonight (well, sort of): Luuk de Jong, Ronald Araujo, Gerard Pique. That, almost as much as the result, might do Koeman some (more) significant damage.

We’re hearing reports that Barcelona are playing two centre backs up front, and that Gerard Pique has just crossed for Ronald Araujo to secure a point against Granada in the 90th minute. pic.twitter.com/7YCByYSTjp

#FCB did enough to beat Granada, but was that enough? The new young Barcelona attack with crosses, hence Pique coming from bench to be a centre forward next to Luuk de Jong. Long list of injuries means that we have to suspend judgement. And Araujo is their new hero. Says it all

OK so this is actually happening: Barcelona are playing with Pique and Luuk de Jong up front

As it was going into the game, the main talking point at full time was the future of Ronald Koeman. He has publicly clashed with president Joan Laporta recently, with the board thinking about letting him go.
Results like this are not likely to do his job security any favours, and nor will his new Sam Allardyce-inspired playing style.
Barcelona has transformed from the beautiful football of Lionel Messi into cross the ball into Luuk de Jong and inshallah FC.

The downfall is downright horrible to watch - Ronald Koeman is not the man for Barcelona. It’s really that simple.
I'm not a fan of doing stuff just to be doing stuff, but Koeman has lost this team. I just don't see how he continues.

Things may not be looking good for one of Barcelona's Ronalds, but Ronald Araujo's stock has never been higher.
In dire times, teams need players that can lead from the front and he did exactly that. He could have, and perhaps should have, ended the game with more than one goal while he did not put a foot wrong defensively.
Have Barcelona found a new hero? Goodness knows they need one...
?️ | @BlazquezFont:"The passion and character of Ronald Araújo are reminiscent of the best moments of Carles Puyol. Barça is very lucky to have a center back of his class and with his dedication to the team. He has what it takes to mark an era at the Camp Nou." pic.twitter.com/bO31ScqeoY

Once again, Ronald Araújo is one of the only bright spots, if not the only positive, from today’s horrendous performance. Only a matter of time before he’s wearing the captain’s armband.

1. A rating of 8.1 as a CB despite getting a yellow card, and conceding a goal
2. Not dribbled past once
3. 1 goal, could've gotten another but for a great save
4. Look at that heatmap. Yes, It is LEFT TO RIGHT btw
PUT SOME RESPECT ON HIS NAME! pic.twitter.com/p9ZtF0bn7f
Ronald Araújo had more shots than any other player on the pitch in Barcelona against Granada – all five were headers, three of them were on target, and one of them was Barça's last-minute equaliser. He's a centre-back. pic.twitter.com/JHuLHvIZki
