Barca boast the vastly superior head-to-head record in meetings between these sides, losing just twice to Real Betis in their last 18 encounters.

Indeed, the Andalusians have shipped five on their previous two visits to the Camp Nou - losing 5-2 on both ocassions - but they will remember their victory in Barcelona three years ago with great fondness.

Under the guidance of Quique Setien, Betis recorded a famous 4-3 victory over Barca at the Camp Nou, powered by goals from Junior Firpo, Joaquin, Giovanni Lo Celso and Sergio Canales.

Barcelona were fortunate to escape from their visit to Villarreal with three points last weekend, indebted to a bout of profligacy from Unai Emery's side.

Xavi will be keen to see improvement from his charges, especially in the final third where they have blatantly lacked a punch this season.

Prediction: Barcelona 2-2 Real Betis
