Barcelona's Champions League campaign has been disastrous so far, with Ronald Koeman's side slipping to back-to-back 3-0 defeats against Bayern Munich and Benfica respectively.

Lose again to Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday and they face a seriously tricky task to avoid crashing out at the group stages.

Dynamo currently have a solitary point courtesy of their matchday one draw with Benfica, but they come into this one off the back of a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Bayern. As a result, Barcelona will be confident of securing a vital three points.

Barcelona team news

Barcelona have several notable absentees ahead of this one. Ronald Araujo picked up an injury on international duty and Eric Garcia is suspended, after being dismissed against Benfica last time out.

Further forward Pedri remains sidelined and it is probably too early for Ousmane Dembele to be involved too.

Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero returned from injury against Valencia but it is potentially too soon for him to earn a spot in the starting XI - though don't be surprised if Koman does select his summer signing.

Dynamo Kyiv team news

Dynamo have an equally well-filled absence list. Forwards Artem Besedin, Vladyslav Kulach and Ibrahim Kargbo are all out and defender Denys Popov is also some way off recovering from a knee injury.

Manager Mircea Lucescu might be expected to shuffle his pack after his side were well-beaten last time out.

Barcelona vs Dynamo Kyiv head-to-head record

You do not have to look back long to find the most recent meeting between the pair as the two sides squared off in last season's Champions League group stages.

In both the home and away fixtures Barcelona triumphed, besting Dynamo 2-1 at the Camp Nou before thrashing them 4-0 in Ukraine.

Prior to this, the pair have met 10 additional times with Barça winning six to their opponents three, with one ending all square.

Barcelona have looked, to be frank, pretty awful in the Champions League so far and the pressure will be on Koeman's side on Wednesday.

However, with Dynamo nursing several injuries, La Blaugrana must go into the game as strong favourites. The return of Aguero to the starting XI could be decisive.

Barcelona has sorely missed a natural goal-scorer up front this season and the Argentine fits the bill perfectly. We're going for a much-needed home win.

Prediction: Barcelona 2-0 Dynamo Kyiv
