Barcelona team news

Barcelona continue to be without Alexia Putellas, Cata Coll and Jana Fernández, who are all sidelined with torn ACLs. Bruna Vilamala made her first appearance in over 12 months on Sunday, following her comeback from the same injury.

Aitana Bonmati missed out against Alaves at the weekend due to a muscular problem, and Lucy Bronze was also not included in the squad after leaving international duty early due to injury. Bronze has returned to group training.

Bayern Munich team news

Bayern Munich are without long-term absentee Giulia Gwinn, who has been sidelined since October with an ACL tear.

Georgia Stanway is suspended in the Bundesliga after picking up five yellow cards (in seven appearances) but is available to face Barcelona on Thursday evening. She hit a match-winning brace last time out in Europe, and could come up against former Manchester City and Blackburn teammate Keira Walsh in midfield.

Barcelona vs Bayern Munich score prediction

Barcelona and Bayern Munich are both in prime position to qualify for the quarter finals after taking maximum points from their first two games. However, Barca made considerably lighter work of this than Bayern. The Catalan giants have scored 13 and conceded just once, while Bayern edged past Rosengard and needed a 98th minute winner to get the better of Benfica.

It promises to be a competitive fixture, but Barcelona should come out on top.

Prediction: Barcelona 3-1 Bayern Munich
