Barcelona to sell Ilaix Moriba if he doesn't accept new contract offer

Barcelona will attempt to offload teenage prodigy Ilaix Moriba this summer if the youngster doesn't accept the contract offer the club have tabled.
Moriba exploded onto the first-team scene towards the end of last season, scoring or assisting in each of his first three appearances in La Liga and running out 18 times in total for the first-team.

He made his mark, and within weeks of emerging he was being tipped for a huge move to Manchester United which ultimately didn't materialise. If the Red Devils are still interested, however, their chance may soon come.
Moriba is out of contract in 2022, and reports since June have suggested he is playing hardball over a new deal. RAC1 claimed then that the teenager's representatives have shown little sympathy for the club's desperate financial situation, laying out a list of demands that Barca have deemed 'utterly unacceptable'.
In an update to the story, the Spanish radio station's Gerard Romero has now claimed that the club have responded with an alternative offer.
As it stands, the player is yet to accept the terms, and it's claimed he has been left out of the first-team squad for pre-season training as a result. He will return to the fold if he pens new terms, but if he rejects the offer on the table, it's said Barcelona will look to offset the risk of losing him for free in 12 months by selling up now.
It's common knowledge that Barcelona are struggling financially, so whatever modest fee they can raise for Moriba would help their cause. They are currently unable to register any new transfers or sign Lionel Messi to a fresh contract as a result of La Liga's salary cap.
But whether interest from United, or anywhere else in Europe, will re-emerge in Moriba remains to be seen.
