Barcelona remain open to offers for wide forward Ansu Fati, while Ferran Torres has played his way back into Xavi Hernandez's plans in recent weeks, 90min understands.

Fati was once heralded as Lionel Messi's heir at Barcelona, with the club even giving the youngster the famous number ten jersey when he was just 18 years of age. Since then, however, injuries have hindered his progress and saw him miss 107 games for both club and country despite.

Last season, Fati made just 12 starts for Xavi's team and, at the end of the campaign, 90min understands that the player was told that he was free to leave the club during the summer.

Heading into the final few days of the window, sources have confirmed that that remains the case. Wolves have previously held an interest in the youngster's services, as have West Ham - although their recent signing of Mohammed Kudus likely rules them out of contention now.

As things stand, Fati believes he can work his way back into Xavi's plans this season, despite the breakout of 16-year-old La Masia prodigy Lamine Yamal.

Yamal started ahead of Fati in Barcelona's thrilling 4-3 victory over Villarreal at the weekend, bagging an assist and thoroughly impressive with his performance.

One wide forward who looks set to be taken off the market is Ferran Torres. The Spain international was signed for nearly £50m back in January 2022, but largely struggled to make an impact for Xavi's side in his first season-and-a-half at Camp Nou - scoring just 14 goals in 71 games.

Due to this form, 90min reported in July that Barcelona were keen to sell Ferran, with Arsenal and Newcastle United both keeping an eye on the player's availability. The 23-year-old has remained adamant that he wished to stay at Barcelona and fight for his place in the first-team and, thanks to his performances in the opening few weeks of the season, he looks set to be do just that.

Despite getting just 32 minutes of La Liga action thus far in 2023/24, Ferran has proved to be a difference maker for Barca, scoring two key goals in wins over Villarreal and Cadiz so far.
