Barcelona are keen on bringing Dani Olmo back to Catalonia this summer and have been in talks with the player's camp 'for weeks'.

Olmo spent seven years at Barça's La Masia academy before leaving at age 16 to sign for Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb, a move largely questioned by the Spanish media.

However, the midfielder quickly rose through the ranks at Dinamo and made 124 appearances for them before joining Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.

The 23-year-old has impressed when he's played during injury-hit his time in Germany, but he could be closing in on a move back to his hometown club.

Journalist Gerard Romero reports that Barcelona have been in talks with Olmo over a summer transfer 'for weeks'.

It's long been reported that Barça have been intent on bring the Spain international back to Camp Nou, and with Ousmane Dembele potentially leaving on a free transfer, signing a versatile player like Olmo would make sense.

Olmo has been in impressive form as part of Luis Enrique's Spain side recently, scoring a last minute winner in their recent friendly against Albania.

Meanwhile, Barça club president Joan Laporta all but confirmed the signings of Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie earlier this week.

The Barcelona chief admitted that the club had agreed deals to sign a centre-back and a centre-midfielder, but was not allowed to officially disclose their names.
