New pictures of Barcelona's 2024/25 home kit by Nike have been leaked online, with the Catalan giants set to pay homage to one of their most popular strips of years gone by.

Barcelona will celebrate the 125th anniversary of their founding in November, and next season's kit will resemble their 100-year anniversary shirt from the 1998/99 season.

The ever-reliable Footy Headlines have obtained images of the 2024/25 Barcelona home kit, which will do away with stripes and revert to red-and-blue halves plus alternating sleeves. Much like the popular 1998/99 kit, it will be accented by navy blue trim, while the Nike and Spotify sponsor logos will come in gold.

Barcelona have announced they will use a special logo to celebrate their 125th anniversary. This will take the usual place of the regular crest on the shirt - though the variant has not yet been confirmed by the club - with the normal badge being moved centrally to sit evenly across the red and blue halves.

Nike are facing a battle to keep hold of Barcelona as a partner as La Blaugrana look for a more lucrative kit manufacturing contract. Puma have been tipped to rival Nike for Barca's deal, while the club could also become one of the first major clubs to produce their own kits in house.

This is despite a report from UEFA last week confirming that Barcelona earned Β£153m in merchandising revenue over the last year - more than any other club in Europe.

Nike became Barcelona's kit supplier in 1998, with their first strip being that of their 100-year anniversary. The only other manufacturers in the club's history have been Meyba (1982-1992) and Kappa (1992-1998).
