Austria and Northern Ireland will commence the second round of group stage matches at Euro 2022 in Monday's early evening kick-off.
Both sides lost their opening match against England and Norway respectively, but each will see this game as an opportunity to get some points on the board and at least give themselves an outside chance of a place in the knockout stages.

Arsenal full-back Laura Wienroither, who impressed in the opening game against England, will miss out here after testing positive for Covid-19.

Simone Magill is a big loss to Northern Ireland after her knee injury sustained against Norway was later confirmed as an ACL problem. She will miss the rest of the tournament and likely a significant chunk of the 2022/23 WSL season with new club Aston Villa.

Austria vs Northern Ireland score prediction
Austria did well to frustrate England on matchday one and go into this game the stronger of the two teams - they won 3-1 in a 2023 World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland as recently as April. However, only a stoppage time equaliser denied the Irish a win in the reverse fixture in October.
Austria should be able to take some cues from the way Norway dismantled Northern Ireland, whose own attacking output is now considerably blunted without Simone Magill.
