Juventus could take a huge step towards securing Champions League football next season when they travel to face Atalanta in Serie A.

The Old Lady secured their passage to the Coppa Italia semi-finals with a 2-1 win over Sassuolo in midweek, while their recent league form has moved them into the top four in Serie A.

Meanwhile, Atalanta's 3-2 defeat to Fiorentina on Thursday evening has left La Dea trailing Juventus by two points, which seemed improbable given the sides' respective starts to their league campaigns.

In the meantime, here's everything you need to know about the game.

Duvan Zapata is set to be out of action for three months after he limped off in the defeat to Cagliari last weekend.

Reports suggest Gian Piero Gasperini could move for former Southampton striker Graziano Pelle to offset the loss of the Colombian, with Roberto Piccoli having joined Genoa on loan.

This weekend could also come too soon for both Jose Luis Palomino and Aleksey Miranchuk, while Josip Ilicic is on compassionate leave.

Juventus team news

Federico Bernardeschi recently joined Federico Chiesa in the treatroom room after he sustained a muscle problem in training last month.

Manuel Locatelli returned from suspension in the midweek Coppa Italia victory over Sassuolo, although Giorgio Chiellini has been ruled out for several weeks.

Atalanta vs Juventus head-to-head record

La Dea were the last team to defeat Juventus in Serie A when Gasperini's side stole a 1-0 victory at the Allianz Stadium back in November.

Prior to that meeting, there had been two wins apiece alongside two draws. In this corresponding fixture last season, a strike from Ruslan Malinovsky three minutes from time gave Atalanta victory.

Atalanta vs Juventus score prediction

Juventus look an increasingly dangerous proposition in attack after the addition of Dusan Vlahovic last month.

The Serbian made a goalscoring start to life in Turin against Verona last weekend, combining impressively with Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata on either flank.

However, La Dea are rubbing shoulders with the Old Lady for a reason and, despite back-to-back home defeats, their style of play can trouble any side in the division.

Prediction: Atalanta 1-3 Juventus
