Arsenal and Manchester United have been two of the form teams at the start of this WSL season.

The Gunners have set the pace thus far, winning all six of their games and conceding only once in the process. United were top prior to the last round of matches but were beaten by Chelsea, who leapfrogged them in the process, in a tense encounter at Leigh Sports Village.

United are now looking to bounce back and prove they can compete with the WSL's biggest clubs in their pursuit of Champions League football. For Arsenal, it is the biggest test they have faced so far.

Come Saturday evening, it will be all eyes on north London...

Arsenal team news

Arsenal will welcome Vivianne Miedema back for this one after she was recently granted some time off - the Dutch superstar was absent altogether against Leicester last time out, but had equally only started one of the four games prior to that after being benched for Frida Maanum.

Beth Mead withdrew from England's November squad for family reasons but is available to play here. Jordan Nobbs and Lotte Wubben-Moy also pulled out of international duty but are similarly ready.

First choice centre-back pairing Leah Williamson and Rafaelle remain out, as does Kim Little. Summer signing Lina Hurtig, who is yet to start a WSL game, is also sidelined.

Man Utd team news

There are no new injury concerns for United off the back of the international break, with Alessia Russo able to get more minutes in her legs for England after being limited to a sub appearance against Everton last month and only fit enough for 79 minutes against Chelsea.

Ona Batlle is set to return after missing the last three WSL games because of concussion recovery, while Lucia Garcia is available, having missed the Chelsea defeat.

Aoife Mannion is the only player missing for United, but even she is continuing to step up her ACL recovery and is starting to participate in some team training.

Arsenal vs Man Utd score prediction

This fixture last season ended in a 1-1 draw and was an opportunity missed for Manchester United in the circumstances. Ella Toone skied a glorious chance moments before Katie McCabe was sent off, but the Gunners still found an equaliser with little over 10 minutes to go.

Arsenal have been in excellent form but are still missing their preferred centre-back pairing and their best midfielder through injury, nor have they been genuinely tested.

United, meanwhile, have a much fuller squad but still need to consistently perform in these big games. Another defeat to a main rival in quick succession would be a huge mental blow.

Prediction: Arsenal 1-1 Man Utd
