Arsenal welcome former boss Joe Montemurro and his Juventus side to the Emirates Stadium this week in a crunch Women's Champions League clash at the top of Group A.

The pair played out a 1-1 draw in Turin last month, but this is Montemurro's first time managing against Arsenal on English soil since he departed in 2021 - last season Juve secured a 0-0 draw against Chelsea at Kingsmeadow that helped them finish above the Blues in the final standings.

Arsenal will see this as an opportunity to put one foot in the knockout stages as a win would open up a five-point lead over Juventus with only two games left to play - one of which is against currently point-less Zurich on matchday six. Juve also have Lyon close behind them.

The Gunners were at least back to winning ways at the weekend when a narrow WSL victory over Everton ended a previous run of two games without a win against Manchester United and Juve.

Juventus, meanwhile, beat Inter at the weekend to also end a recent win-less run following consecutive draws against Como and Arsenal.

Arsenal team news

Arsenal welcomed back Leah Williamson as a substitute at the weekend following her recent injury lay-off. Usual centre-back partner Rafaelle was also back on the bench but didn't play.

The Gunners have been without Kim Little since October.

Juventus team news

Italy international Martina Rosucci had to come off in the first half of Juve's 2-0 win over Inter at the weekend. She was replaced by veteran Swedish defender Linda Sembrant.

Centre-back and captain Sara Gama hasn't played in the Champions League so far this season and hasn't featured at all since a domestic win over Fiorentina in October.

Goalkeeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin spent two years at Arsenal between 2018 and 2020 and was an impassable obstacle for Chelsea in west London last season.

 Arsenal vs Juventus score prediction

This will be far from an easy game for Arsenal. Juventus have got previous, having caused Chelsea problems last season that helped knock the Blues out at the group stage and taking points off both the Gunners and Lyon already in this campaign.

Arsenal haven't been at their best for the past month, but at least the psychological boost from Williamson and Rafaelle returning - even if they don't both start here - is huge and should breathe renewed confidence throughout the rest of the team.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Juventus
