Arsenal predicted lineup vs Everton - Premier League
By Max Parsons
Arsenal conclude their Premier League campaign by hosting Everton on Sunday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta and his men still have a slither of hope in the race for Champions League football but will need to bring an end to a two-match losing run and hope that Norwich get a win against Tottenham to leapfrog their north-London rivals into that coveted fourth spot.
Against an Everton side on a high after securing their Premier League survival in dramatic fashion last time out, here's how Arteta could set his side up.
1. Arsenal predicted lineup vs Everton (4-3-3)
GK: Aaron Ramsdale - Kept 12 clean sheets in his first 23 Premier League appearances for the club but has failed to register one in his last ten.
RB: Cedric Soares - After Takehiro Tomiyasu's early withdrawal at Newcastle last time out, Cedric looks set to be reinstated.
CB: Rob Holding - Should come straight back into the side from a suspension-enforced absence to replace one of Ben White or Gabriel.
CB: Gabriel - Given White's recent return to fitness and currently doubtful status, the Brazilian seems the more likely to feature here.
LB: Nuno Tavares - Really not had much about him in recent weeks but will continue in the side while Kieran Tierney remains out.
CM: Mohamed Elneny - With Thomas Partey still in the treatment room, we can expect the Egyptian to take his spot at the heart of the side once more.
CM: Granit Xhaka - Might have finished the night at St. James' Park on the left of a back three but should certainly return to midfield from the off here.
AM: Martin Odegaard - Looks like his purple patch has come to an end but never discount the Norwegian from producing a match-winning spark.
RW: Bukayo Saka - Hasn't been as impactful as he can be in recent weeks but will be determined to conclude what has been a brilliant individual campaign in style.
ST: Eddie Nketiah - Been a revelation since breaking into the side but could be set to play his final game for the club with all the speculation surrounding him this summer.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli - Emile Smith Rowe reportedly joined central defenders White and Gabriel in missing training on Wednesday, although the Gunners' new number 11's return was likely in any case.
